About AGA
AGA, cast-iron cookers made in England
AGA is a British company dedicated to the manufacture of cast-iron cookers, hoods and kitchen accessories. Its production takes place in England and its catalogue combines classic British design with solutions designed for today's kitchen. The firm presents itself as an original in its category: its silhouette is widely recognised and, according to its own description, has been imitated but never equalled.
Beyond the appliance, the company places the kitchen at the heart of the home and associates its products with a way of life based on food and shared moments. Its commercial motto is "Crafted for a Lifetime of Good Living".
Radiant-heat cooking and vitreous enamel
The distinctive feature of AGA cookers is the use of cast-iron ovens that cook by radiant heat. According to the company, this cooking environment helps ingredients retain their natural properties and develop more flavour, texture and colour. The firm describes this system as the "secret inside" of its cookers.
The exterior finish is also characteristic: each cooker receives a hand-applied vitreous enamel, which provides depth and lustre. AGA links this process to generations of specialised craftsmanship and to a British design that continues to evolve.
AGA cooker collection
The current range is organised into several models designed for different kitchens, routines and ways of life:
- AGA Signature: combines cast-iron cooking with digital controls and the ability to switch ovens and hotplates on and off independently.
- AGA Classic: the closest expression of the original AGA cooker. It is designed to stay on continuously, with four temperature settings — including an Eco mode — and hotplates that can be switched on and off separately.
- AGA Compact: integrates two cast-iron ovens and induction in a design adapted to standard-depth kitchen cabinetry.
- AGA Mini: at 60 cm wide, it brings AGA cooking to kitchens with limited space. It is available in four versions, with cast-iron or conventional cooking options and different combinations of ovens and hotplates.
- AGA ERA: a fully electric model with two large cast-iron radiant heat-storage ovens, a fan oven, a powerful grill, a four-zone induction hob and a controllable cast-iron hotplate. Its finish combines a contemporary black glass fascia and polished chrome trim.
- AGA Rayburn: for more than 75 years it has combined cast-iron cooking with the ability to provide heating and hot water for the home. It is a heat-storage cooker that integrates cooking, warmth and comfort.
- AGA Masterchef: a model included in the product catalogue.
- AGA Hoods: the brand's extractor hoods.
Trade-in programme and owner services
AGA maintains a trade-in programme for those replacing an existing range cooker: it offers up to 10% off the purchase of a new cast-iron AGA cooker, with 10% if the appliance traded in is a cast-iron AGA and 5% if it is another range cooker. The company states that terms and conditions apply and that details are available from the local retailer.
For owners, the firm offers repair and maintenance services, spare parts, engineer finder, warranty registration and a certified re-enamelling service. It also provides help documentation, manuals and downloads, and a customer support channel for enquiries about cooker care.
Distribution network and product experience
AGA sells its products through a network of retailers and an outlet store, and has international dealers. The company offers interested parties a store locator to find points of sale and specialists, as well as the possibility to request a brochure or book an AGA experience to see, try and learn about the product in person.
General telephone support is available Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 16:30. The company warns that calls from outside the United Kingdom are charged at international rates.
