My Local Services

My Local Services, a British local business directory

My Local Services is an online directory of UK businesses that has been active since 2005. Its main purpose is to connect users looking for a local business with service providers in their area, and it offers businesses the option to post their own ad. The platform presents itself as a national directory, with searches organised by trade and by location or postcode.

Search for businesses by trade and location

The search tool allows you to find businesses by professional sector and by postcode or town. Among the most prominent search categories shown on the site are builders, electricians, plumbers, roofers, cleaning services, landscaping & gardening, car servicing, MOT testing, taxis, locksmiths, windows & doors, and accountants. Each business listing may include additional information and customer reviews.

Posting ads for businesses

Businesses can join the directory by making a one-off payment of £1. The website states that no recurring invoices are issued after that payment and that the ad is published within one business day. The platform also allows you to edit your listing once it has been published and to add extra content to the listing.

Customer reviews and ratings

The site includes a customer review system for the businesses listed. The homepage features testimonials from users who highlight customer service, speed of response and how easy it is to use to add content to ads. The platform's activity is rounded off with a business forum and a reviews section.
