History

Founded in 1930 in Guildford, Surrey, Cubitt & West has gone through various stages. In 1980 it was acquired by Prudential Property. In 1991, Paul Rooney bought the south-east region of Prudential Property Services and founded Arun Estates, integrating Cubitt & West alongside the Pittis and Wards brands. In 1996 the lettings department opened, and in 2000 Mortgage Matters Direct was created. In 2005 a relationship was established with Move with Us to develop the in-house conveyancing service. In 2012 the brand was refreshed and in 2020 it adopted a gold colour in its visual identity.

Management team

The team includes Aldo Sotgiu as Group Managing Director, Jason Bunning as Managing Director of Operations, Vicki James as Lettings Operations Director, Becky Jennings as Regional Managing Director, Steve Atterbury as Senior Operations Director, Neil Piper as Senior Operations Director, Godfrey Haire as Associate Operations Director, Gavin Welch as Financial Services Managing Director and Jo Potter as HR Director. Several of them have decades of experience in the property sector and within the company itself.
