A Century of Paper Production

Papelera del Oria, S.A. is a paper mill in Zizurkil, Gipuzkoa, in northern Spain. Founded in 1911, it has operated for more than a century in a region with a long paper-making tradition. The company uses hydropower from the Oria River in its production processes.

Production and Products

The mill has an annual production capacity of more than 50,000 metric tons of paper. Its paper machine has a usable width of 264 cm and produces paper in weights ranging from 40 to 240 g/m². In addition to rolls, the company has its own sheeter and can supply sheets in pallet-block format with short lead times.

Its product lines include Oria Print, Oria Bulk Packaging, Oria Bag, Oria Kraft, and Oria Kraft GP, for printing, writing, and packaging applications.

Markets and Exports

More than half of the mill’s output is exported to over 15 countries, mainly in Europe, as well as North Africa and North America. The company works with a network of sales agents and points to its location on Europe’s Atlantic corridor as an advantage for competitive delivery times.
