Agrar Fertilizantes S.A. is a Spanish agricultural company specializing in the manufacture, sale, and distribution of fertilizers. Established in 1985 as the successor to the fertilizer division of the long-standing AGRAR, S.A., it traces its history to 1962, the year the company identifies as the start of its operations. It presents itself as a supplier of premium fertilizers for the Spanish market, with experience in ammonia treatments and distribution of the TecBlue product.

Facilities and locations

The company operates a multipurpose manufacturing plant in El Turrullón, Zuera, Zaragoza, and another plant in El Ejido, Almería, through its subsidiary Agrar Plantas del Sur. It also reports agricultural land in several parts of Spain, industrial buildings, machinery and vehicles, and storage centers and depots. Its head office is in the Edificio Nido, Calle Jaime Ferrán 5, 50014 Zaragoza.

History

The company dates the start of its suspended liquid fertilizer manufacturing and sales to 1981, when it acquired and installed a production plant. In 1994, a subsidiary began making specialty products for export in El Ejido, Almería. In 2009, the company completed the manufacturing process for TecBlue, which it distributes throughout Spain.

Agrar Fertilizantes says it has worked with public agricultural agencies, including Spain's Ministry of Agriculture in Madrid; the Government of Aragon in Zaragoza; the Provincial Government of Navarre in Pamplona; the Provincial Government of Álava in Vitoria; the Community of Madrid; and the regional government of Castilla-La Mancha.
