About Fundación Aragonesa de Esclerosis Múltiple (FADEMA)

Support for people with multiple sclerosis in Aragon

Fundación Aragonesa de Esclerosis Múltiple (FADEMA) is a nonprofit organization based in Zaragoza that works with people affected by multiple sclerosis (MS) across Aragon. Its work combines direct support for people with MS and their families with research support and public information about the disease.

Services and programs

FADEMA provides occupational therapy to help people with MS develop and maintain skills that support personal independence. In 2026, it is carrying out the “Our Goal: Personal Autonomy” project with support from Fundación ONCE. The foundation also promotes CAIDEM, a center dedicated to supporting MS research.

Funding and partnerships

The organization receives support from public and private institutions. The Government of Aragon contributes to funding part of three FADEMA projects for 2026 through its call for grants for programs of social interest, funded by 0.7% of personal income and corporate income tax revenue. FADEMA also works with Fundación ONCE.

Information and advocacy

FADEMA shares news and resources about MS, including the “ImpulsEMos” study on the disease’s economic and social impact in Spain and the “Practical Guide to Defending the Rights of People with MS,” prepared by Esclerosis Múltiple España.
