ELT – Especialidades Luminotécnicas S.A.U. is a Spanish group specializing in the design, manufacture, and sale of lighting solutions. It covers the value chain from components and equipment to luminaires, control tools, and remote-management systems.

History

Francisco Artero, Pilar Morte, and Eduardo Gracia founded the company in 1975. It began in a 450-square-meter building in Cuarte de Huerva Industrial Park, Zaragoza, with seven employees making ballasts and transformers for lighting. In 1988, ELT moved to Malpica Industrial Park in Zaragoza, where it established a 9,000-square-meter factory and office complex on a 17,000-square-meter site. That same year, it installed a ballast factory in Havana Province for the Cuban government, using technology developed entirely by ELT. In 1990, it created ELSA, an auxiliary company for manufacturing custom products.

Technology specialties

ELT focuses on advanced connectivity, remote management of smart lighting, and the Internet of Things (IoT). It works with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology and develops projects such as Alfa 4.0. The company also works with Human Centric Lighting concepts.

Recognition and reach

In 1985, ELT received the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Zaragoza’s third Export Award. The company presents itself as a recognized supplier of lighting technology and electronic products, with international operations.
