PFERD TOOLS manufactures abrasive and metalworking tools for industrial use. Its catalog includes files, milling, drilling, and countersinking tools, mounted points and grinding wheels, sanding, finishing, and polishing tools, diamond and CBN tools, cut-off wheels, flap discs and grinding discs, stationary cut-off wheels, wire brushes, and machines and solid-carbide tools.

The company says it has operated since 1799. In April 2025, it changed its name from PFERD to PFERD TOOLS. Its Spanish operation is PFERD Rüggeberg S.A., based in Vitoria-Gasteiz.

Research and Development

The company develops research and development projects, several with public funding. It has also installed self-consumption photovoltaic systems at PFERD-Abrasivos, S.L. and PFERD-Rüggeberg, S.A.

Training and Dealer Services

PFERD TOOLS ACADEMY offers hands-on training for dealers and users on tool handling. Dealer services include e-commerce, a spare-parts catalog, a tool manual, downloads and videos, and technical calculators for rotational speed, shaft and hole tolerances, G-ratio, and cutting data. A dealer locator helps customers find a nearby point of sale.
