An experimental sound and visual art project

Verbose is the personal project of Carlos Bravo Besada (born 1991), a musician, sound and visual artist, hardware instrument designer, and researcher. His work explores the fundamentals of sound and light through study, craft, and experimentation, using modular synthesis, field recording, electroacoustics, and programmable digital environments.

Approach and process

According to the project website, the search for a performative way to combine organic sounds, glitches, and light led the artist to build his own instruments, drawing on his university studies in physics, electronics, and acoustics. The project is described as the culmination of years of research and refinement of the tools needed to shape a visual and sound landscape in which the two interact.
