About Ramon Fortià – Paisatges
A photographic record of nature
Ramon Fortià – Paisatges is a personal nature photography project led by Ramon Fortià, focused on landscapes, plants, and wildlife. The website serves as a photo archive and activity journal, with sections on invertebrates, amphibians, reptiles, birds, mammals, urban ecology, and more.
Wildlife and habitat work
Nature photography is the project’s main focus, with particular attention to tracking species over time. One ongoing subject is the Montagu’s harrier in the Empordà region, with records dating from 1984 through 2025. The site also documents habitat-management projects, including the restoration of Estany de Boada, and publishes technical, scientific, and public-education articles.
Photo archive and publications
The archive is organized into landscapes; plants, including herbs, shrubs, and trees; wildlife, including invertebrates, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals; and urban ecology. The latter covers wind turbines, golf courses, solar and nuclear power plants, wastewater treatment plants, reservoirs, power lines, solar panels, weather radar, and residential developments. The site also features editorial work, awards, articles, and a blog about nature and conservation.
Online contact
The website offers a contact form for questions and photography inquiries. Ramon Fortià also maintains a Facebook page under his name.
