María Feijoo is an artist creating unique painted pieces on several surfaces, especially natural silk, canvas, and cotton. Her work is sold through an online store.

Hand-painted silk

Each silk piece is made entirely by hand on 100% natural silk. Color is allowed to flow across the fabric, creating watercolor-like effects. The pieces are then steam-set for several hours so the dye bonds with the fiber while preserving the silk's sheen and drape. The artist says the pieces have no right or wrong side and can be hand-washed like a delicate garment.

Her workshop carries the Artesanía de Galicia artisan designation: artisan card No. 3939 and registered workshop No. 792.
