Support for people affected by cancer

Vilassar de Dalt contra el Càncer (VDDCC) is a nonprofit association based in Vilassar de Dalt, Barcelona, supporting people diagnosed with cancer and their families from diagnosis and throughout the course of illness. In 2026, the association celebrates its 30th anniversary, along with the 30th edition of its cancer-awareness fair.

The association offers a range of support services:

• Micropigmentation
• Diet and nutrition
• Legal and employment advice
• Workplace support
• Cancer prevention workshops
• Qi Gong, therapeutic and motivational dance, and Nordic walking
• Sewing and crafts workshops
• Educational projects

Events and community activities

The association organizes fundraising and awareness events throughout the year. Its 30th cancer-awareness fair, held June 6–7, 2026, at Parc de Can Rafart, raised more than €34,000. The Cursa Solidària at Escola La Nova Immaculada raised €2,422.81. The association also receives contributions from businesses and organizations, including €5,000 from CaixaBank and €196 from La Massa Centre de Cultura Vilassarenc. It publishes a newsletter and current news.
