TEGAR (Tallers Especials del Garraf) is a public intermunicipal organization based in Vilanova i la Geltrú, in the Garraf region of Barcelona province. It operates as a special employment center and social-economy organization, with two main areas: services for businesses and public agencies, and support for people with intellectual disabilities.

Services for businesses

Through its Centre Especial de Treball, TEGAR takes on production and service processes outsourced by other businesses, often work that requires substantial labor. Its service areas include:

• Courier services: Local and regional delivery.
• Specialized assembly: Industrial processes that businesses choose to outsource.

Services for individuals

TEGAR serves people with intellectual disabilities, including those who could work but have not found employment because of limited opportunities or preparation. Programs include occupational therapy, occupational services for job inclusion, residential homes, and recreation and leisure services.

Organization and public information

The organization receives support from the Government of Catalonia and describes itself as a leading social-economy organization in Garraf. It also manages public-agency processes through an electronic office, transparency information, a reporting channel, a procurement platform, and job pools.
