History

• 1984: founded in Vilagarcía de Arousa, one of Galicia’s main ports, initially focused on foreign trade and importing and exporting.
• 1990: established itself in rodenticides, manufacturing agrochemicals, insecticides, and biocides while developing its own formulation and efficacy-testing technologies.
• 2010: opened in Vilagarcía de Arousa what it describes as Europe’s most modern plant, substantially increasing production capacity.

Products

The catalog has four main lines:

• Rodenticides (35 products): fresh bait, modular fusion paraffin blocks, grain bait, compact pellets, rodent-control glue, and extruded paraffin blocks. Featured products include Brody T60, Brody Mini-Oval 5 g, and Brody Fresh Bait, based on brodifacoum.
• Insecticides (18 products): concentrated formulas for ants, cockroaches, spiders, and bedbugs.
• Fly-control products (6 products): traps and solutions for flies, mosquitoes, and wasps.
• Garden and animal protection (11 products): molluscicides, fertilizers, sulfate, sprout inhibitors, and deterrents for dogs, cats, pigeons, and birds.

Production Facilities and Capacity

The company reports a total site area of 20,000 square meters, including a 2,180-square-meter manufacturing plant, a 1,950-square-meter packaging plant, a 500-square-meter building for R&D, sales, marketing, and administration, a 7,850-square-meter logistics warehouse, and storage for raw materials, consumables, and finished products. Its stated annual capacity includes:

• Fresh-bait rodenticide: 3,600 tons
• Modular fusion paraffin rodenticide: 2,600 tons
• Grain rodenticide: 1,800 tons
• Compact pellets: 1,600 tons
• Rodent-control glue: 1,500 tons

Customers and Reach

Impex Europa serves professional customers and reports having more than 20,000 of them. It collaborates with the University of Santiago and says it employs more than 50 people directly. Its location near a major port, within an hour of three airports, and connected to highways and high-speed and freight rail allows it to serve international distributors and importers.
