Education in Vila-real

Fundación Flors is a private school receiving public funding in Vila-real, Castellón. Music, robotics, and debate

Several programs are central to the school’s educational approach:

• Music: elementary and secondary school choirs began in 2010. They have won awards at El Corte Inglés’ Christmas Carol Contest and taken part in cultural and charitable events, including concerts for the Red Cross.
• Robotics: taught from preschool through secondary school using Bee-Bots, 3D printing, and robot construction. The school has hosted the regional VILABOT competition since 2018 and launched the Build Your Robot Hackathon in Portugal in 2023 in partnership with Erasmus+.
• Public speaking and debate: part of the curriculum since 2010, from first grade through the fourth year of secondary school. Students have won top prizes in the BBVA Debate Leagues in 2016 and 2017, among other awards.
