Xwins

An app connecting manufacturers with nearby stores so local inventory can fulfill online orders for same-day last-mile delivery, reducing shipping costs and supporting neighborhood retailers.

About Xwins

A local-store approach to online delivery

Xwins is an app that presents an alternative to traditional delivery networks for online orders. Instead of shipping each order from a manufacturer’s warehouse, the manufacturer can offer it to nearby stores that have the item in stock. The store that accepts the order handles the last-mile delivery to the customer.

How the platform works

The process starts when a customer buys from a manufacturer’s online store. The manufacturer posts the order on Xwins as a business opportunity for nearby small retailers in its network. Stores can accept the offer if the product is in stock. The platform assigns the order based on criteria such as physical proximity, delivery speed, participation history and badges, and the order in which stores accept. The selected store then fulfills the order promptly.

Benefits for each participant

  • Manufacturers: lower long-distance shipping costs, better inventory use, and access to last-mile delivery without building their own network.
  • Stores: new sales opportunities from online orders, digital tools, and greater visibility with customers.
  • Consumers: same-day delivery from local inventory, a smaller carbon footprint, and support for neighborhood businesses.

A collaborative B2X model

Xwins seeks manufacturers interested in strengthening ties with local retailers and stores looking to fulfill orders generated online. The company describes its B2X model as collaborative commerce, with cooperation taking priority over competition.
