Occupational safety and health since 1999

Previsonor is a Galician-owned external occupational safety and health provider (SPA) established in 1999. It was created to help employers meet Spain’s Law 31/1995 on Occupational Risk Prevention and Royal Decree 39/97. Its legal name is Previsonor S.L.; it was registered on July 31, 2000, under regional number 1999/16 and Serpa number 11/0017. It is part of Grupo Isonor, which has provided consulting to large and small businesses since 1997.

Services

• Workplace safety: site visits to identify and assess workplace risks and recommend improvements.
• Industrial hygiene: study of occupational illnesses associated with physical, chemical, and biological workplace conditions.
• Ergonomics and applied workplace psychology: assessment of how workstations and conditions fit the people doing the work.
• Occupational medicine and health surveillance: medical exams and programs such as the Comprehensive Health Program, Premium Program, and Back School.
• Training: occupational safety courses, with a virtual classroom and course calendar.
• Consulting: workplace prevention and management systems.

Accreditation and capabilities

Previsonor is accredited to provide all four occupational-prevention disciplines. Its training accreditation covers programs under collective agreements in construction, metal, wood, glass, and sign-making for the professional card in each sector. In November 2007, it signed a company-group agreement as a training-action management entity under Royal Decree 395/2007. The company reports more than 4,000 clients and more than 50 professionals, including chemists, physicians, engineers, and management and administrative staff.

Partnerships and service packages

With Excelentia–Grupo Isonor, Previsonor offers services that incorporate workplace safety and health (OHSAS 18001) into management systems and industrial safety programs. It also sells the Trabaja Seguro package, which includes LOPDAT compliance with Spain’s data-protection and e-commerce laws, maintenance, audits, and specialized software. Its Food Industry package combines occupational safety with HACCP and advertises implementation discounts of up to 50%.
