Helping young people build their own path

Fundació Projecte i Vida is a Vic-based social-services organization supporting children, young people, and their families as they develop their own life plans. Relatives and friends of Santiago Tusquellas Oto, a lawyer and business owner, established the foundation in 2003. Its motto is “One Person, One Life Project.”

Services

The foundation organizes its work into four areas:

• Social and educational services: the #Invulnerables program in Manlleu, the Unitat d'Escolarització Compartida (UEC), the Servei d'Orientació i Acompanyament a la Parentalitat Positiva (SOAP+), and the Instituts Oberts in Granollers.
• Residential services: the La Serra Centre Residencial d'Acció Educativa (CRAE), S.T.O, and supported apartments.
• Training services: introductory courses for newcomers.
• Community services: the Equip de Suport a l'Atenció Comunitària (ESAC).

Projects and partnerships

The foundation has launched projects such as “Fem Futur!,” which provides vocational training in forestry to young people facing social exclusion, particularly foreign-born young people going through the residency-regularization process. With Fundació pel Suport Social Solidari and Associació SEMES, it also participates in Nou Hostal Osona SCP, a company established to provide tourist lodging or shelter. The foundation is connected as well with Biomasa de Osona, an online biomass-sales project in the Osona region managed by EMC Enginyeria and promoted by OLEA Multiserveis Empresa d'Inserció SL.

Community involvement and employment

People and businesses can support the foundation through donations, volunteering, and corporate social responsibility programs. The foundation also maintains a job board and a dedicated email address for people interested in working with the organization.
