History and registration
The building dates to 1850 and follows traditional architectural styles of western Asturias. The Cotarelo family lived there; in 1913, Emilio Cotarelo y Mori was elected to the Royal Academy of History and the Royal Spanish Academy.
From 1941 for more than 50 years, the ground floor housed Dr. Antonio Guzmán's medical office. In 2026, the property began a new chapter as lodging.
