Societat Agrícola i Secció de Crèdit de Valls SCCL is an agricultural cooperative based in Valls, Tarragona. It brings together local production and sales of olive oil, wine, nuts, and calçots. The cooperative has its own store, Agrobotiga, where customers can buy these products, as well as a private area for members.

Products and quality designations

• Olive oil: protected by the Siurana Designation of Origin and made from Arbequina olives, hand-harvested and first cold-pressed. The cooperative sells two styles based on harvest timing: fruity, green oil with more body and a mild almond bitterness, and a sweeter, more fluid yellow oil made from a later harvest.
• Wine: sold under the Tarragona Designation of Origin, including white, rosé, and red wines, as well as dessert and fortified wines such as mistela, moscatel, garnacha, vi ranci, and vi vimblanc.
• Calçots: protected by the Calçot de Valls Protected Geographical Indication. These mild, sweet white onions are sold in labeled and tied bunches of 25 or 50.
• Nuts: included in the Agrobotiga selection.

History and activities

The cooperative reports 125 years of history and takes part in food and cultural events in Valls, including Festa de l'Oli Nou, Music Valls Va de Vins, Gran Festa de la Calçotada, and Esmorzar de l'Oli Nou. It also organizes visits to its facilities.
