Inclusion and everyday support in Valldoreix

Associació Família AMIC is a nonprofit based in Valldoreix, Barcelona, working to support the everyday inclusion of people with disabilities and their families. It serves people with disabilities as well as relatives, teachers, friends, and professionals who support them.

Activities and services

The association offers an ongoing program that includes sports such as paddle tennis and paddleboarding; summer programs (Casal d'Estiu Lli editions in 2022, 2023, and 2024); art workshops, including soap, notebook, and mona cake making; and community fundraisers such as charity paddle tennis and a benefit dinner. It also has a store and an activity calendar with advance registration.

In education, it offers training sessions, workshops such as ProuBullying, and guidance for the school community on choosing a school, school applications, educational services, education policy, and MEC grants. It publishes adapted learning materials in Catalan, math, biology, social studies, and Spanish.

In health care, the association addresses areas including medicine, pediatric dentistry, a COVID health program, IMIM, and pharmacy.

Legal and administrative guidance

The association provides information and help with disability-related procedures, including a caregiver card, Renfe Gold Card, Cuida'm health card, personal income tax deduction, disability certificate, long-term care law, accessible parking permit, pink card, protected assets, Social Security benefits, exemption from the CO2 emissions tax, and PUA grants.

Transparency and participation

The organization has a board of directors and staff team, a transparency section, a reporting channel, and a list of partner organizations. People can become members, volunteer, or donate.
