Early childhood education in Valladolid

La Casa de los Niños is a private daycare and preschool in Valladolid. It was founded and authorized by the regional government of Castilla y León in 1987, giving it more than three decades of experience in early childhood education. The center participates in Castilla y León’s free-education plan for children ages 1–3.

Classrooms and capacity

The center has three classrooms organized by age:

• Baby classroom, with capacity for 8 children.
• Classroom for children ages 1–3, with capacity for 13 children.
• Classroom for children ages 2–3, with capacity for 20 children.

It also has its own kitchen and an outdoor patio.

Educational program

The educational approach is based on games and songs, with individualized adjustment periods. It includes a well-rounded education, an introduction to English, and social-emotional learning. The school offers additional workshops and field trips. In July and August it holds special summer activities, including a pool in July.

Meals and hours

The meal service provides a balanced menu developed with nutrition professionals. Food is prepared in the school’s own kitchen. The center is open 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. every day of the year, closing during the second half of August.
