Courses offered
- Navigation License: Allows the holder to operate recreational boats up to 6 meters long and Class C personal watercraft during daylight and no more than 2 nautical miles from a port, marina, or sheltered area. Applicants must be 16 with parental permission and pass a medical exam.
- Basic Navigation Skipper (PNB): Allows the holder to operate recreational boats up to 8 meters long and personal watercraft, staying within 5 miles of shelter. It includes a 27-question multiple-choice exam, 8 hours of safety and navigation practice (16 additional hours for sailing), and 4 hours of radio communications.
- Recreational Boat Skipper (PER): Authorizes operation of motorboats up to 15 meters long within 12 miles of the coast, with additional privileges to travel between mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands in boats up to 24 meters. Requirements include a 45-question multiple-choice exam, 16 hours of basic practice, and a 12-hour short-range radio-operator course.
- Yacht Skipper: Qualifies the holder to operate motorboats up to 24 meters long within 150 miles of the coast. Applicants must already hold the Recreational Boat Skipper credential, pass exams in four separate subjects, and complete 48 hours of practice aboard a training vessel, in addition to the radio-operator course.
- Yacht Captain: Allows the holder to operate recreational motorboats up to 24 meters long without geographic limits. Applicants must hold the Yacht Skipper credential, pass four separate subject exams, and complete 48 hours of practice, including 36 hours underway.
Teaching approach and services
