Selfing - Self Portrait Studio

A self-service portrait studio in Valencia

Selfing is a self-service photography studio in Valencia. It describes itself as the city's first self-photo studio and offers a format in which the customer is both photographer and model: no professional photographer is present during the session, and the client uses a remote control to take photos at their own pace.

How a session works

The studio provides preconfigured equipment and a private room. On arrival, customers receive a brief explanation of how to use the space. During the session, they can choose music through a speaker and use a fan to create movement in the photos. Images are processed automatically and emailed within 24 hours. Customers receive all the digital files from their session.

Packages and session length

• First time and just want to try it: €40, including five minutes of instructions and a 15-minute session, for one or two people.
• I want more: €60, including five minutes of instructions and a 25-minute session, for one to three people.
• Happy snap!: €100, including five minutes of instructions and a 50-minute session, for one to four people.

All options include every digital file from the session. The studio says it can comfortably accommodate up to six people, and pets count as attendees. Photos are approximately 3–6 MB and suitable for social media and photo albums.

Reservations and terms

Sessions are booked through the website. Customers can cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours before the reserved time. The studio also offers gift cards with no expiration date and is available for events. It does not have its own makeup artists or hairstylists, so customers are advised to arrive ready.
