About A.C. Falla Conde Salvatierra - Cirilo Amorós - Mercado Colón
A Fallas association in Valencia's Mercado Colón neighborhood
A.C. Falla Conde Salvatierra - Cirilo Amorós - Mercado Colón is a Fallas association based near Mercado Colón in Valencia. Its work centers on organizing and taking part in the city's Fallas festival. Its history reaches back to 1931, when its falla won first prize among Valencia's festival installations with Els set pecats capitals, a work by Vicent Benedito.
Activities and publications
The association's cultural activity extends beyond the annual installation of its falla. It publishes llibrets, the booklets produced by Fallas groups; some entered the Valencian regional government's competition promoting the Valencian language and won awards. It has also organized correfocs, or fire parades, documented from 2005 to 2010. The group has its own theater troupe, Brusquina, an anthem, a pasodoble, and a centenary commemorative book.
Artists and festival installations
For the main falla in 2025, the artist was José Ramón Devis Benet, while Borja Lorente Castillo was responsible for the children's falla. In 2019, the association worked with Grego Acevedo in the children's Special category and Javier Álvarez Sala Salinas in 1ªB.
Headquarters and contact
The association's casal, or meeting place, is at Calle Cronista Carreres 7 Bajo, 46003 Valencia. It is present on Facebook and has a contact form on its website for membership and inquiries.
