What El Rincón del Soplao is

El Rincón del Soplao consists of two stone country houses in the Nansa Valley of western Cantabria. Each is rented in its entirety to one group, an arrangement aimed at large families, friends, celebrations and retreats.

The two houses

• El Rincón del Soplao: a 17th-century house with a fireplace and wood-fired oven, sleeping up to 18 guests in seven bedrooms with three bathrooms across 240 square meters; one pet is allowed
• El Balcón de la Peña: a traditional mountain house with a garden and mountain views, sleeping up to 16 guests in seven bedrooms with three bathrooms across 210 square meters; adapted for guests with reduced mobility

Setting and nearby activities

The houses are in the Nansa Valley, a short drive from El Soplao Cave and the beaches at San Vicente de la Barquera. Places highlighted by the lodging include El Soplao and Chufín caves, Ferrería de Cades, Torre de Obeso, Puente de la Herrería, Casona de Tudanca, Santa Catalina viewpoint, the village of Carmona and Cabárceno Nature Park.

Who the houses suit

The properties are designed for group stays and events of up to 18 people. Families have a garden and play area, El Rincón del Soplao accepts one pet, and El Balcón de la Peña provides the accessible option for a guest with reduced mobility.
