About Restaurante La Imprenta

A former printing house turned restaurant

La Imprenta takes its name from the printing press that once occupied the stone-walled building in Úbeda’s historic center. The old press produced the city’s local newspaper, and the restaurant draws on that past without turning the meal into a museum piece: its identity is now firmly gastronomic, with a kitchen that describes its approach as traditional cooking renewed.

Extra-virgin olive oil is central to that approach, an apt anchor in a region where the ingredient is part of the culinary landscape. The menu brings traditional flavors together with newer techniques and uses fresh products. Images and menu highlights include Iberian cured meats, tataki, asparagus with garden tomato, broad beans with farm eggs and prawns, and tocino de cielo for dessert.

A meal in the historic heart of Úbeda

The restaurant works as a dining room, tapas bar, and terrace, making it suited to anything from a few shared plates to a longer meal. Its location places the experience within Úbeda’s historic center, while the building’s former life gives the name a local story with a direct link to the city’s press history. La Imprenta’s appeal is that meeting point of setting and food: regional ingredients and familiar flavors presented with a contemporary hand.
