Grupo DISCO is a Spanish business group specializing in professional distribution of equipment, components, tools, and accessories for commercial and industrial refrigeration and climate control. Its history dates to 1962, when Accesorios Frigoríficos, S.A. (Afrisa) was founded. The group formally took shape in the late 1980s as several companies joined. It now reports 26 sales locations in Spain, Portugal, Latin America, and Africa, serving more than 4,000 active customers.

Products and services

The company distributes products from established brands for installers and maintenance professionals. Its main product lines include:

• Commercial and industrial refrigeration equipment, including SZXD multi-compressor condensing units, A2L monoblock units, and multi-refrigerant solutions.
• Multi-brand air-conditioning equipment, including multisplit and R32 inverter 1-to-1 systems.
• Reconditioned refrigeration compressors with new original parts, as well as discontinued compressor models.
• Installation tools and accessories for contractors.
• Natural refrigerant solutions using ammonia (NH3) and carbon dioxide (CO2), as well as A2L refrigerants, focused on sustainability and energy savings.

Additional services include technical support, preventive maintenance, compressor repair, and dedicated refrigeration and climate-control catalogs.

Group companies and facilities

The group includes companies added over several decades. Afrisa, the parent company, was founded in 1962 and became Copeland’s exclusive distributor in Spain in 1974, later adding Portugal. Other members include Latorre, established in Valencia in 1963; Pevasa, founded in 1983 for Catalonia and Andorra and absorbed by Afrisa in 2008; DISCO Málaga, created in 1990 and merged into Afrisa in 2008; and DISCOLIS, founded in Lisbon in 1991. Afrisa’s headquarters are in Torrejón de Ardoz, Madrid, in an 8,600-square-meter facility with 6,000 square meters of warehouse space and 2,600 square meters of offices, as well as a store, training classrooms, and a showroom.
