About Restaurante Manjares

Calle Sillería links Plaza de Zocodover with the streets leading towards Toledo Cathedral. At number 10, Manjares occupies a restored, protected 16th-century building beside Hotel Posada de la Sillería. The restaurant recalls an inn at the address in 1882 and divides its dining space between a main room, a Toledo-style courtyard and a cave room. After hours of churches, lanes and steep streets, lunch should offer a chance to sit and slow down, not merely tick a local dish off a list.

The menu we checked, explicitly valid from late August to December 2026, makes the proposition concrete: carcamusas made with Iberian pork cheek, Toledo-style partridge, venison from the Montes de Toledo and marzipan cake. A separate set lunch and bar menu also exist; check which applies at the time you arrive, since these are different ways of eating. Courtyard tables seat four and the restaurant asks guests to reserve them by phone. Its rooms also host groups, but a traveller can keep lunch much simpler.

Visible customer accounts repeatedly mention attentive staff, the courtyard atmosphere and satisfaction with the set lunch; some differ on whether individual dishes justify their price. That contrast is a reason to compare the set menu with à la carte before choosing, especially on a budget. The website offers reservations and gives the phone number 637 443 681. Manjares makes particular sense if your visit ends between the cathedral and Zocodover: you can continue to other monuments on foot without descending to the newer town. The building provides context, but the food you actually want should decide the table.
