The Amantes de Teruel Foundation brings the legendary lovers' mausoleum together with the Mudéjar monuments of San Pedro in Teruel's historic center.

About Fundación Amantes de Teruel

A legend beside Teruel's Mudéjar architecture

The Fundación Amantes de Teruel invites visitors into two intertwined stories: the city's legend of the Lovers of Teruel and the medieval architecture of the San Pedro complex. The Mausoleum of the Lovers, opened in 2005, uses exhibition rooms to tell the story, while the adjoining church, cloister, tower, and apse show the Mudéjar tradition that gives this corner of Teruel its distinctive architectural character.

The visit can bring together the mausoleum and the church complex, where the 13th-century tower and the 14th-century apse are part of Teruel's UNESCO-recognized Mudéjar heritage. Guided visits and an audio-guide option offer different ways to follow the story, moving from the legend's emotional pull to the craftsmanship of the surrounding buildings.
