More Than a Century in the Fish Trade
Torrents Padrós is a family business with more than a century of experience selecting, handling, and distributing fish and seafood. Emília Carbonell founded it in 1908 at the Mercat de la Independència in Terrassa. The fifth generation now runs the company, which combines its own retail locations with a longstanding wholesale operation and La Peixatera online store.

Family History
The business spans five generations. In 1908, Emília Carbonell opened the first fish stall. Dolors Padrós Carbonell later joined the business. In 1965, Martí Torrents Padrós expanded into wholesale sales. In 1980, Olga and Ramón expanded the retail locations and began importing cuttlefish from Morocco. Since 2006, the company has consolidated its network of company-owned locations and a wholesale operation serving many hospitality businesses in the region.
