Kern Pharma is a pharmaceutical laboratory that is part of family-owned Grupo Indukern. Its business is organized into six areas: generic medicines, Consumer products recommended by pharmacists, biosimilar medicines through the Biologics division, the Gynea women’s health brand, Finisher® sports nutrition, and contract manufacturing for other companies.

Products and Capabilities

The company describes itself as a leading developer, manufacturer, and marketer of generic medicines. Its product reference book covers 90% of prescription needs, with a portfolio of more than 230 products in more than 660 presentations. Kern Pharma also manufactures products for other companies in the industry.

International Presence

Kern Pharma has two subsidiaries abroad, Pharma Kern in Portugal and another in the United States. It has substantial export activity and, through agreements with local distributors, is present in nearly every country in the European Union.

Organization and Team

The company employs more than 940 people and is organized into eight areas: Operations; Sales and Marketing; International; Scientific and Technical; Business Development; Quality; People; and Finance and Information Systems. Raúl Díaz-Varela is executive vice president of Grupo Indukern and president of Kern Pharma.
