Building certification and technical training

ICCL is a Spanish organization that certifies individuals and management systems and provides technical training in construction and building. Its work focuses on technical building inspections (ITE), building evaluations (IEE), energy efficiency, sustainability, and building information modeling (BIM).

Professional certifications

ICCL offers professional certifications in several specialties:

• ITE_IEE01: Specialist in Technical Building Inspection and Evaluation.

• Building inspection and rehabilitation: asbestos inspection; building evaluation reports; Castile and León’s Existing Building Manual; timber-structure inspection and rehabilitation; and inspection and evaluation of concrete structures.
• Sustainability: building life-cycle assessment; building energy management; building energy efficiency; sustainable construction; DB-HE under Royal Decree 732/2019; nearly zero-energy buildings; and Passivhaus.
• Safety: workplace health and safety coordination; occupational risk prevention for construction executives; and basic prevention for offices and construction sites.
• Management and calculation: AI-assisted project development; QGIS and GRASS at levels I and II; the unified Lider Calener tool (HULC) under Royal Decree 732/2019; low-voltage electrical regulations; and DB-HR noise protection.

Building management tools

ICCL offers tools and programs for building-related processes, including e-gest, building inspections, building logbooks, ITE and IEE services for Castile and León, RECITE and RecIEE for municipalities, the Castile and León Building Logbook, the Homeowner’s Manual, the Building Manual, and the Basque Country Building Logbook.
