KIVEN

Portable hydrogen water technology

KIVEN sells UVEPEM, a portable bottle that generates hydrogen-rich water. The company markets it for home use and cites an independent report from H₂ Analytics (report No. 23082201, dated August 22, 2023) that measured a molecular hydrogen concentration of 6.61 ppm. The product is sold through kiven.es, where the listed price is €329, reduced from €349.

Product and technology

UVEPEM generates hydrogen water using SPE/PEM technology. Listed technical features include:

• DuPont™ 117 proton-exchange membrane with platinum coating on both sides
• Electrodes with titanium felt and mesh, 30% more surface area, and a six-layer platinum coating
• Hydrogen nanobubbles with a diameter of 10–100 nm
• Integrated UV self-cleaning system that the company says removes 99% of bacteria, viruses, and pathogens
• Compatibility with standard 28 mm plastic bottles, in addition to its glass bottle
• European CE marking

The device produces hydrogen water in a 10-minute cycle. H₂ Analytics’ report measured an average concentration of 6.61 mg/L (6,610 ppb) with agitation and 5.77 ppm without agitation. KIVEN says it has been refining hydrogen water production technology since 2016.

Intended audience

KIVEN markets UVEPEM to people interested in hydration and wellness, including athletes seeking muscle recovery, active people looking to support energy and mental clarity, and people interested in healthy aging. The company positions it as a technology-based alternative to other portable generators, highlighting its integrated UV cleaning and independently measured hydrogen concentration.
