Fundació Onada

Support, employment, and community life

Fundació Onada is a Tarragona-based social-services organization supporting people with disabilities and/or mental health conditions in the city and the Tarragonès region. It combines direct support with services for businesses and local governments through its Special Employment Center. The foundation is a member of Fundalis.org.

Services for individuals

The foundation offers training, employment integration, occupational centers, and other services for people with disabilities and/or mental health conditions. Its vocational training helps participants build job qualifications, develop professional skills, and strengthen social and workplace skills.

Services for businesses and local governments

Through its Special Employment Center, Fundació Onada provides services to businesses and municipal governments, including:

• Site maintenance
• Painting
• Signage
• Industrial services
• Packaging
• Handcrafted gifts

The foundation invites workers with disabilities interested in these services to submit a résumé.

Community projects

The foundation develops place-based projects with local governments, bringing different groups in a community together through shared services and activities. Key locations include Espai de Trobada, the foundation's base in Tarragona's Campclar neighborhood, and Parc Francolí, a community-development and civic-participation project. It has also taken part in environmental work along the Riu Gaià in El Catllar with Tarragona Provincial Council; “Com a casa enlloc,” a project with restaurants in Alt Camp, Baix Penedès, and Tarragonès; and “Escoltar per transformar.”
