About Camerata XXI
Classical music across Tarragona
Camerata XXI is a cultural organization in Tarragona province built around the Camerata XXI Orchestra, a chamber ensemble combining young musicians with experienced performers. The group develops, produces, and shares classical music across the region.
Concerts and the 2026 season
The organization presents more than 130 activities a year, including concerts, workshops, and other musical programs. Regular series and projects include Cicle Xavier Blanc, En Ruta, Òpera, Cantem!, and Cambra. Its 2026 season includes appearances in Lleida, Reus, El Vendrell, and L’Hospitalet de l’Infant, with programs such as La Viñenale 2026, La veu retrobada (marking the centenary of Josep Cercós), and Metamorfosis: La transformació de la matèria.
Education and inclusion through music
Educational programs include music camps, the COS project, activities for families and school groups, and training with schools and conservatories. Social initiatives such as Sent la Camerata and Un matí d’Orquestra bring music to broader audiences and promote cultural inclusion. En Ruta+ was a finalist for the 2026 Premi Lluís Carulla.
Local partnerships and venues
Camerata XXI works with cultural organizations across Tarragona province. Its project Pantalla i calla! has been presented at Gran Teatre del Liceu.
