Ibérica del Carbion was founded in Tarragona in 1956. It began by making elastic paper sleeves to protect bottles, based on an Italian patent for a corrugated paper called Carbion. Since then, the company has diversified its products to meet changing market demands, with a focus on high-end packaging.

Products and Capabilities

The company manufactures corrugated cardboard in different flute profiles and paper grades. Its range includes:

Its equipment includes corrugated-board production machinery, die cutters for shapes and sizes of different kinds, and gravure and flexographic printing technology. The company uses inks suitable for food-contact packaging. It also has specialized machinery for making protective pads from different combinations of paper and PPL film, serving industrial and food-industry applications.

Ibérica del Carbion has more than 14,000 square meters of facilities and holds ISO 9001:2015 certification. Its wastewater treatment plant uses physical, chemical, and biological processes, and the company uses lower-pollution energy sources such as natural gas.
