Grupo Librado is a group of companies based in Tarancón, Cuenca, with businesses in hardware, industrial supplies, steel-product distribution, agricultural machinery, and home supplies. Its history began in 1944, when the Librado Loriente family opened a small hardware store on Calle Zapatería in Tarancón. In the 1960s, it moved to Calle Hospital 10, which remains the group’s registered address.

History and Growth

Founder Librado Loriente Arribas was born in Santa Cruz de la Zarza in 1929 and moved with his family to Tarancón in 1944, where he started the business. Over the decades, the company expanded its product lines and opened specialty stores on Avenida Miguel de Cervantes in Tarancón. In 1977, it became an authorized distributor of John Deere agricultural machinery, a relationship that lasted more than 30 years. Librado Maquinaria, S.A. was formed in 1983; Librado Hierros, S.A. and Librado Loriente, S.A. in 1993; and Librado Suministros Industriales, S.A. in 1994, which operates in Cuenca. The group now distributes FENDT and VALTRA brands.

• 50 Avenida Miguel de Cervantes — ROCA bathroom fixtures, furniture and accessories, PROCOLOR paints, and decor.
• 13 Avenida Cruz Roja, Cuenca — industrial hardware, iron, ROCA bathroom fixtures, PROCOLOR paints, and agricultural implements; now also FENDT and VALTRA machinery.

Capacity and Services

The group keeps 41,495 products in stock and says it can source items within 24 or 48 hours. It has specialized workshops for agricultural repairs, tire installation, quick automotive work, and pre-inspection service. The group also operates an online store.
