About David Iriarte
Handmade historic furniture in miniature
David Iriarte is a woodworking studio creating 1:12-scale reproductions of historic furniture. Each piece is made entirely by hand in fine woods with period-style finishes, then commissioned in a numbered limited edition and signed by the maker.
Selected designs
The collection spans furniture from different periods and styles, including:
- Andrew Moore-style console table and mirror
- Chests of drawers by André-Charles Boulle
- Mathieu Criaerd sideboard
- Napoleon III sideboard, circa 1870
- Louis XIV Mazarin desk
- Japanese cabinet from the Edo period
- Louis XV chest of drawers
- William III and Mary cabinet
The craft behind the work
Iriarte describes himself as a carpenter and cabinetmaker from a family woodworking tradition. The project carries on a craft learned in a home and workshop setting rather than industrial production.
Studio
The studio is at Avenida Zaragoza 45, 50680 Sos del Rey Católico, Zaragoza, Spain.
