Support for people with disabilities and their families

Associació Amisol is a nonprofit in Solsona, Lleida, working to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities and their families throughout their lives. In 2026, the organization marks 50 years of work. It reports 262 members, 82 people served, 42 volunteers, and 61 employees.

Areas of service

• Social services: occupational services, a residential home, the Child Development and Early Intervention Center (CDIAP), in-home independent-living support, recreation services, and volunteering.
• Employment: a special employment center with a sawmill and food-service, packaging, and pallet operations.
• Servei Enllaç: a liaison service.

Coordinator's hours: Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.–1 p.m. and 4–7 p.m. The center is open Monday through Friday from 5 p.m. to 10 a.m., and 24 hours a day on weekends, holidays, and during vacations.

Recent work

Amisol has upgraded its sawmill to protect workers' health and create new job opportunities. The Fundació La Caixa also supported a furniture-renewal project for the residential home called “Creant la nostra llar.”
