About HazTuAcción
HazTuAcción is a nonprofit cultural and social association founded in Seville in September 2014. It combines performing arts with other disciplines to support social change, placing education at the center of its work to prevent and address gender-based violence, peer violence and other forms of violence.
Who it serves
The association works primarily with school communities—students, teachers and families—in Seville, municipalities across the province and other parts of Andalusia. It says working with the full school community is important to building meaningful alternatives.
Programs and services
- Coeducation program: prevention of gender-based violence and bullying in schools.
- “Violence Offstage”: a prevention and awareness project that uses theater to prompt change and offers tools for peaceful conflict resolution.
- Training: workshops for teachers on gender-based violence among teens and classroom management, as well as job-readiness training.
- Participatory activities: theater workshops for teens, adults and children focused on personal development.
- Individual psychotherapy: support for adults, couples, teens and families.
