Coverpan

Flexible packaging from Seville

Coverpan is a Seville-based manufacturer of flexible packaging with a focus on sustainable materials. Founded in 1993, it was an early adopter of paper for flexible packaging and has since focused on compostable, biodegradable, and recyclable solutions.

Products and manufacturing lines

The catalog has two main families:

• Compostable packaging (PackInGreen): compostable paper rolls and bags, as well as compostable film rolls and bags.
• Recyclable packaging: recyclable paper rolls and bags, plus recyclable film rolls and bags.

Products include heat-sealable paper rolls for automated packaging and paper doypack bags (CVBIODOYPACK). Packaging can be made to each customer’s specifications.

Certifications and raw materials

Coverpan works with FSC- and PEFC-certified paper, which supports responsible sourcing. PackInGreen uses plant- or biomass-based raw materials that can be composted into natural fertilizer or recycled at the end of their life cycle.

Markets served

The company makes flexible packaging for bakeries and pastry shops; fruit and vegetable producers; nuts and snacks; rice, pasta, and legumes; prepared foods, hospitality, and food to go; meat, cold cuts, and fish; pet food and animal feed; parapharmacy, cosmetics, and wellness; construction, hardware, and parts; and retailers, stores, and bookstores.

International programs

Coverpan has taken part in programs supporting international growth. In 2023, it received European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) support for an action plan to strengthen its position in overseas markets, through the Seville Chamber of Commerce’s InnoXport program. It has also received support through ICEX Next, co-funded by ERDF, for its international development.
