About RICOMS

The Real e Ilustre Colegio Oficial de Médicos de Sevilla (RICOMS) is the professional association representing physicians in Seville province. Its main office is at Avenida de la Borbolla 47, 41013 Seville, and is open from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on weekdays.

Services for members

The association provides members with administrative, legal, and healthcare-related services, including:

• Membership applications and periodic membership-status verification
• Membership certificates and insurance certificates (Andalbrok)
• Private prescriptions, including electronic prescriptions through REMPE and paper prescriptions through the OMC
• Legal advice and administrative services
• Young Physicians Support Office
• Professional liability coverage, member benefits, and health insurance
• Medical examination services
• Job board and working groups
• PAIME, the Comprehensive Care Program for Physicians with Health Problems
• A channel for reporting assaults against healthcare professionals

Training and education

RICOMS offers continuing education for physicians through a virtual classroom and in-person and hybrid courses. Announced programs include “Out-of-Hospital Childbirth Assistance and Obstetric Emergencies for Non-Obstetric Professionals,” scheduled for June 2–18, 2026. The course was set to begin online on June 2, with an in-person simulation workshop on June 18, for physicians who are not obstetricians.

International cooperation and community programs

RICOMS has a section devoted to international cooperation, recognizing the work of Seville physicians involved in charitable projects. It also runs community initiatives, scholarships, and grants, and works with the OMC Foundation for Social Protection.

News and resources

The association publishes news, a blog, announcements, awards and scholarships, as well as its own digital newsletter. Its website includes directories for private physicians and members, along with health alerts.
