Can Ferrereta, five-star hotel in the historic center of Santanyí

Can Ferrereta is a five-star hotel located in the historic center of Santanyí, in the southeast of Mallorca, within walking distance of some of the island’s best-known beaches. It occupies a 17th-century Majorcan residence that has been restored and transformed into a hotel shaped by architecture, design and contemporary art. The complex consists of three renovated buildings that retain original elements such as stone arches, wooden beams and the characteristic Santanyí stone.

Rooms and suites

The hotel has 32 rooms and suites: 13 rooms and 19 suites. Each room is distinct for its original architectural elements, its individual design or the pieces of contemporary art that decorate it. High ceilings and natural light make them especially spacious and bright. Some have a private terrace or garden, overlooking the swimming pool or the traditional Mallorcan courtyard.

The accommodation is organised into several categories:

• Deluxe: located in the old house, contemporary Mediterranean style and avant-garde equipment.
• Privilege: spacious and bright, with original architectural elements or designs that distinguish them.
• Junior Suite: spacious and bright, designed for long stays, with warm and earthy tones.
• Duplex Suite: distributed across two levels, with ceilings up to six meters and an original 17th century stone arch.
• Santanyí Suite: particularly spacious and high ceilings, with noble materials and modern design.
• Can Ferrereta Suite: one of the most exclusive, with French balcony and views.
• Terrace Suite: 50 m2, with private garden, sun loungers and exclusive outdoor shower.
• Pool Suite: the most exclusive, with separate living room, bedroom, bathroom and guest guest toilet, plus a garden with heated pool of 4 x 2 m inspired by the ancient safareig of the island.
• Nest: intimate and welcoming space that combines elegance and design.

Restaurants and bars

The restaurant Ocre offers Mediterranean cuisine, with cooking based on products from the market of Santanyí and the island, under the direction of chef Àlvar Albaladejo and his team. La Fresca, located in the central garden next to the pool, operates as a restaurant and pool bar outdoors, with an interior indoor area available for private use and a more informal atmosphere.

Sa Calma Spa & Wellbeing offers facilities designed for unwinding and personalized treatments aimed at fighting stress and recovering energy.

Boutique and art

La Botiga is a Mediterranean boutique with fashion and accessories selected to reflect a relaxed and timeless lifestyle. The hotel houses a collection of painting, sculpture and photography with local and national artists such as Miró, Guillen Nadal, Miquel Planas, Jaume Plensa or Bárbara Vidal.

Environment and activities

The hotel is located in the historic center, just a few meters from Plaza Mayor, where a market of local and craft products is held every Wednesday and Saturday. The location allows access to small shops, cafes and art galleries, as well as natural sites such as Es Trenc Beach or Mondragó Natural Park. The hotel offers a bicycle rental service and private guide, Medfeel® Premium Cycling, with muscle or electric bicycles and expert local guides.

History and heritage

The 17th century residence belonged to a family linked to the history of Santanyí. The street where it is located adopted the name of the house, which was the nickname of the Bonet family, the Ferrereta.
