About Santa Cruz de La Palma Beach

Santa Cruz de La Palma Beach is the city’s doorway to the Atlantic. It opened in April 2017 after a waterfront project restored the capital’s direct relationship with the sea. The City Council describes 69,405 square metres of recreational space and about 550 metres of shoreline.

Its practical value is the combination of a beach and public services: rescue staff, an amphibious chair, toilets, showers, a children’s playground and sports courts. The municipality reports year-round services and summer programming that has included a beach library, fitness, aqua aerobics, Pilates and yoga. The calendar changes by season; a class should not be assumed on any given day.

Visible Google Maps reviews describe a spacious urban beach with city and mountain views, and mention facilities and accessibility. It is a place to spend time by the water before walking into the center. Sea conditions and organised sports depend on the day; the listing does not promise daily events.

The municipal website is the main source for facilities, safety and seasonal programming. The beach has no commercial admission schedule as if it were an enclosed venue.
