Fundació Iris

Support for people with intellectual disabilities

Fundació Iris is a private nonprofit based in Sant Vicenç dels Horts, Barcelona, that works with people with intellectual disabilities and their families. Its roots go back to Aspamades in 1974 and Tallers Iris in 1994, giving it more than five decades of activity. It serves more than 200 people each day.

Social enterprise

The foundation operates a business line offering landscaping, product assembly and packaging, and laundry services. According to the organization, it works with more than 100 partner companies and has 62 employees in supported employment. Laundry is one of its featured services, and the foundation has launched a campaign to expand its facilities.
