A Family Textile Machinery Business

Sercomatex S.A. is a textile machinery company based in Sant Vicenç de Castellet, Barcelona. Jaime Serra Poncet founded the business in 1961, and his children now manage it. The family company has spent more than five decades in the market for used textile machinery.

New and Used Machinery

Sercomatex works across two product lines. It represents manufacturers of new textile machinery, including SAURER JINTAN, TOMSIC, BONINO Carding Machines, MATINSA, HUBEI TIANMEN, and JINGYA. It also buys and sells used textile machinery for processes ranging from spinning and weaving to finishing.

One of the products it promotes is the Autocard SC8, a third-generation pre-spinning carding machine designed to improve fiber utilization, sliver quality, and spinning efficiency.

Textile Recycling and the Circular Economy

Sercomatex also works in textile-waste recycling and regeneration, specializing in machinery that recovers textile fibers. It says used machinery is refurbished in accordance with applicable CE requirements.
