International development cooperation

CC ONG Ayuda al Desarrollo is a nonprofit association that has carried out international cooperation projects since 2000. Its work spans health, education, economic development, infrastructure, the environment, tourism, agriculture, and culture in countries around the world.

Where it works

The organization groups its projects across three geographic regions:

• Africa: Senegal, Burkina Faso, Mali, Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, Gambia, Guinea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Madagascar, Morocco, Mauritania, Rwanda, Mozambique, Angola, Tanzania, and Uganda.
• The Americas: Mexico, Peru, Honduras, Brazil, Chile, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Cuba, the United States, Nicaragua, Colombia, Guatemala, and Argentina.
• Asia: Nepal, Japan, Myanmar, Indonesia, Bangladesh, India, and Palestine.

In Europe, CC ONG also runs projects in Spain, including Ayuda DANA, Proyecto EOS, Amor y Mundo, Arte que transforma vidas, Proyecto Dignidad, Sueños de Coodesarrollo, Taller de sueños, and Huerto de las escuelas, as well as public-awareness activities, fairs, and exhibits. Outside Spain, it lists work in Ukraine, Greece, and Belarus.

Program areas

• Health: maternal and children's hospitals, cataract surgeries, malaria prevention, medical-supply shipments, and health centers.
• Education: schools, school cafeterias, libraries, computer classrooms, scholarships, and literacy.
• Infrastructure: wells, dams, latrines, housing, and railroads.
• Environment: waste management, reforestation, biodigesters, and renewable energy.
• Economic development: microcredit, food security, economic empowerment for women and young people, agriculture, livestock, and fish farming.
• Tourism: camps, mountain guides, and climbing.
• Culture and sports and emergency response.

Transparency and organization

The website publishes information about transparency, public grants, annual and regional reports, organizational charts, strategic plans, agreements, sister-city partnerships, and awards. The organization works with ACCD, the Catalan Agency for Development Cooperation.
