About Centre d'Art La Rectoria
Contemporary art in a 17th-century farmhouse
Centre d’Art La Rectoria is a contemporary art center run by the nonprofit Fundació La Rectoria de Vilamajor. It occupies a former farmhouse dating to 1639 in Sant Pere de Vilamajor, in the Vallès Oriental region near Barcelona. More than 150 artists from around the world have worked at the center since it opened in 1987. Its program is organized around making art, teaching, and exhibitions.

The main focus is visual and fine arts, but the center also welcomes other creators and scientists who need space and time for creative or intellectual inquiry.
