Taller Jeroni de Moragas, SCCL

More than five decades of support and inclusion

Taller Jeroni de Moragas, SCCL, is based in Sant Cugat del Vallès, near Barcelona, and has supported people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health conditions, and autism for more than 50 years. Its day, employment, and housing services are designed to promote independence and social inclusion.

Services and programs

• Day services: an occupational center, occupational therapy, and employment guidance and placement.
• Employment services: a special employment center with production and support areas for business clients.
• Housing services: a residential home and support for living independently at home.
• Recreation: resources and support for individual and group leisure activities on equal terms.
• Guardianship foundation: a support and guardianship structure for people served by the organization.

Community projects

With the Doble Via cooperative, the organization runs a dining program that serves freshly prepared meals each day, with an emphasis on quality and adapting meals to the needs of people at its occupational center. It also organizes the Pas Per Tu charity walk; its ninth edition is raising funds for projects in Sant Cugat. Its monthly radio program, Per Tu, gives people with intellectual disabilities a voice.

SOM RESILIENTS online shop

The organization's SOM RESILIENTS online shop sells handmade products created by people with disabilities. The catalog includes desk accessories, bandanas, purses, bags and backpacks, aprons, masks, scarves, hair accessories, and Sant Jordi roses. The website uses easy-to-read language to make it more accessible.
